Corridoio dell'Opera
Ground FloorOn the north wall of the corridor a number of the thousands of names recorded in the documents illustrate the collective character of the Opera del Duomo. Down the centuries the Opera commissioned the most illustrious architects, artists, musicians and humanists, as well as humble artisans and workmen, to build, embellish and bring to life the monuments of the square of the Duomo, and to give them narrative and theological meaning.
