Share your memory of Florence: send a postcard to a friend with Autography!
Old postcards with its vintage appeal evolve in a new even more engaging format: with Autography, the Opera del Duomo App, you can create your own postcard and send it.
Autography grows and it now offers you a new possibility plenty of vintage taste. Real postcards, main character and icon of every trip before smartphones and social media took over worldwide, upgrade and assume a new format preserving its old tradition.
After the success of the app Autography, launched in March 2016, and successful in maintaining the walls of Brunelleschi’s Dome and Giotto’s Bell Tower clear from graffiti thanks to the more than 30.000 digital graffiti created by visitors, it now includes a new option to enrich your experience even further.
From now onwards the visit to the Grande Museo del Duomo, to Brunelleschi’s Dome and Giotto’s Bell Tower in particular, is enriched with another experience: Autography app adds the possibility to create your digital graphic (or choose an existing one) and send it as a real postcard with a message where and to whom you prefer. A way to rediscover the experience of sharing not only through virtual channels but also interacting thanks, though, to the digital nature of the app in the creation of your graffiti and message.
Even if you are not in Florence you can download the official app on our website and create your postcard following three simple steps to send it where and to whom you prefer. Likewise, if you created a graffiti in the past and posted it on our website, you can track it down with its associated code or via e-mail and use it as the subject of your postcard.
In short: Autography becomes an original and personal record of your visit preserving the integrity of our monuments as well as a memory saved online forever. It is also available now in the timeless physical format of postcards to go back to that emotion – so often forgotten - of sharing a special experience with your dear ones.
