- Coppa con mascheroni ed elementi vegetali
Liturgical cup, used for ritual ablutions, in gilded copper, made by a Florentine artisan at the end of the 16th century. The foot is circular, rounded, with clypei “shield” ornamentation integrating overturned lilies. The stem and the connection to the cup have grooves with lanceolate leaves. The cup interior shows a decoration of mascaron faces with vegetal detailing. This cup, was registered for the first time in the 1969 catalogue of the Museum, and has no other documentary records.
