Statues depicting Moses and other prophets realized by Andrea Pisano and Nino Pisano’s assistants between 1337 and 1341. Statues depicting three prophets lacking any of the traditional indications of their identity and a fourth portraying Moses carrying the Tables of the Law. The Bible narrates that Moses was the great prophet who freed the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt, and to whom God delivered the Tables of the Law with the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. In the Judeo - Christian tradition the Ten Commandments summarize that moral code which allows man to live a life free of the slavery of sin in order to fulfill his created purpose.
