A modern reproduction in resin showing the frieze of the cornice built by Brunelleschi on the southeast side of the drum of the dome between 1513 and 1515 in section. This copy in resin offers a detailed view of the frieze designed by Baccio d'Agnolo for the cornice of the drum on the southeast side of the Cathedral dome. The frieze is decorated with large lion heads supporting ribbons and garlands of fruit, symbols of abundance and happiness; above the winged heads of children represent cherubs. The frieze only adorns the southeast side because Baccio d'Agnolo’s project was not universally popular, meeting with particular criticism from Michelangelo Buonarroti, who called it "a cage for crickets", due to its diminutive size compared to the sober mass of the huge dome.
