Marble fragment of unknown origin, depicting the head of young man, stylistically related to a Florentine sculptor of the early 15th century and close to Donatello and Nanni di Banco. The head was part of a work of high quality. It depicts a young man caught as if in ecstatic contemplation, with delicate and rounded features. His face is crowned with wavy hair, which gives a voluminous movement to the form. The upper part of the mouth and the chin are well defined, while the eyes without iris amplify the sense of pathos.
