Wooden sedan chair with stool lined in nailed leather, curved rods, from 17-18th cent. The sedan chair is surprisingly small and of unusual shape; it seems to have been used to carry the Grand Duke, possibly Cosimo III, along the ascent of the Dome, along the steep narrow passage still in use today.
