The 25th anniversary of the end of the restoration works (1995) of the intradossal painting of the Brunelleschi's Dome is an opportunity to join a thematic tour inside the Cathedral, with particular attention to this wonderful pictorial cycle of about 3,600 square meters created by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari
Panoramic visit of the Duomo’s external terraces, more than thirty meters above ground level, where you can feel immersed in the beautiful surroundings of Florence and admire all the monuments of the city as well the massive presence of the Cupola from a unique point of view. The walkway wraps around the Cathedral and provides an exclusive perspective of the most hidden features of the magnificent marble decoration of the Cathedral in an inspiring setting untouched by time.

Museum and San Giovanni Baptistery
In the Museum the guided tour will allow you to illustrate the masterpieces of Arnolfo di Cambio and Ghiberti in the Sala del Paradiso, the Maddalena by Donatello and the Pietà by Michelangelo, at the second floor, crossing the Galleria delle Formelle of Giotto's bell tower, it will be possible to see the two Cantorie di Donatello and Luca della Robbia. Crossing the square you will reach the Baptistery, one of the oldest monuments in the city, subject of an important restoration intervention. However, it will be possible to appreciate the marble flooring of the Baptistery which recalls oriental carpets and the representation of the Zodiac full of meanings and mysteries.
The visit must start from Opera Duomo Museum's entrance, Piazza del Duomo no. 9. Punctuality is required to allow all visitors the best experience.
5 minutes in advance and 5 minutes of delay are allowed, compared to the starting time of the visit.
Participants will present themselves at the meeting point as indicated above. After carrying out the checks to gain access to the monuments, they will meet the guides that Opera will make available. The visit will begin with a brief presentation of the institutional function of the Opera del Duomo and then continue inside the Museo del Duomo and the Baptistery of San Giovanni
